Notes: Inspired by a trip I took to Hadrian's Wall and the very rare writing tablets discovered there.
Translated from one of the excavated birch writing tablets found at Vindolanda near Hadrian's Wall.
Coming back to the Legions was a good decision. So, I keep telling myself that, even if I am commanding a bunch of auxiliaries. They're not [obscured], or won't be once they're trained. Just, why did they have to send me back here to the ends of the empire? This northern frontier is [untranslatable]. There's nothing but rain, and it's summer. Wet, cold and boring. With this wall, the Picts don't even try to [fragment missing]. I hate this [obscured] land. Always have, always will.
