Scars on the outside never hurt so much than scars in the inside. Hank had learned this already during his first weeks as a police officer. Now, about 30 years later, he was a sergeant of an Intelligence Unit, the best he could imagine, and he had seen too much, experienced too much...
But he would move on like he always had done; strong and determined and unrelenting. Nothing could break him. What he felt deep inside he did work out on his own, because everyone who had meant all for him had left him a long time ago already.
