Title: Ghost Town
Fandom: Tales of Vesperia
Rating: PG-13/Gen
Notes: character deaths, mild spoilers, amnesty round
The next time they returned, the little town in the middle of the desert was a windswept, sand-eroded ruin. By the looks of it, this had been the case for hundreds of years. Archeologists from Ruin's Gate picked carefully through piles of fallen rubble.
Yormgen always had a weird atmosphere about it, like a very realistic dream always on the verge of waking up. The locals told disjointed, outdated stories. And, Patty reminded herself, the parcel they'd been sent to deliver had been taken from the hands of a skeleton on a drifting, rotting vessel in an unnaturally mist-covered sea.
