Carefully, Lucas rubbed out the pencil note he had made with the address and time of his assignation.  Then, equally carefully, he wrote a different address and changed the time to one an hour later.  He slipped the note into his desk drawer.  Someone had been keen to know where he was going, but Lucas couldn’t be sure who the person was.  If they took the bait, he had a good chance of catching them out and he could then decide what to do about them.  If the worst came to the worst, he would have to erase them too.
