“Lucas, what are you doing?” Ros Myers enquired.
Lucas North held up the ball of wool, some of which was wound round his fingers. “It’s finger knitting. Jo thought it might help me to de-stress by having something to do with my hands.” The ball of wool fell to the floor. “But I keep getting muddled as to which bit I put in the loop.”
“I’m not convinced you’re doing it right,” Ros said. “Shouldn’t the loops be somewhat smaller?”
Malcolm Wynn-Jones gave it a considering look. “I don’t know. I suppose you could use it for woollen chain mail.”
