Over a glass of fine wine, King Diggory Laplaza once again considers his future.
The solution proposed to him by the ghostly entity seated opposite him is looking more tempting. Right now, he had a human lifespan and his partner was immortal. It would end in heartbreak. He wanted them to be together forever.
There would be backlash from the entire Kingdom should their ruler become a Lich. They'd assume the worst, strike out at the Ultimate Ghost. Maybe it was time for some changes, though, if they were ultimately to prosper - time for him to make a stand.
