“Doctor,” Donna called out, “is that bowl supposed to be glowing?”

The Doctor looked over to where Donna was pointing.

“Ah!” he said.

“Ah?” Donna repeated.  “Why do I get the sense that means ‘we may well have a problem’ rather than ‘that’s very pretty’?”

The Doctor sprang to the TARDIS console.  “We’re just taking a slight diversion,” he said.

“Right.  By the way, the warm yellow glow is becoming more of an angry orange.”

“Rather more drastic a diversion.”

Immediately the TARDIS landed, the Doctor threw out the bowl which was glowing deep red.  There was an ominous BANG!
