Surrounded and pinned down, Mao could only hope that Kurz and Sousuke had made it to safety. Everything had gone wrong; this was a day she had always known would come.
Her Arm Slave stopped responding and its screens went dark, but she heard shots and--
"You okay in there, Big Sis?"
If Kurz was there, so was Sousuke... She'd told them to leave her!
"You idiots," Mao mumbled, unsure if either of them could even hear her.
"Yeah, we know. But you wouldn't have us any other way."
Mao couldn't help laughing. She wouldn't...
Because they were her idiots.
