Title: 'Dear October'

Welcome at last, dear October! I heartily greet thee,
And wonder what spookiness is now in store for me.
I think this month knows well what this woman wants:
Blood-drenched vampires, and houses full of haunts.
Mist-shrouded graveyards; strange, eerie wails,
And music to inspire many delightful tales.
Let howl the werewolves and every weird wind;
Let all wonderful things creepy and scary begin.
Allow all the zombies, ghouls, and fiends released,
The grimmest of specters with others' fear pleased.
And bring on every classic, old-fashioned horror movie,
For I love Price, Lugosi, Cushing, Karloff, and Lee!
