Ros Myers critically checked the room they had set up for the meeting, ensuring that none of their surveillance equipment was visible.  Satisfied it was all as it should be, she turned her attention to the table.  It was essential if they were to get their targets to talk to create a good impression.

“Lucas,” she said, “there seem to be less biscuits on the plate than I would have expected.”

“Yes,” Lucas North agreed.  “There were a few broken ones in the packet, so I didn’t think you’d want them.  But it’s okay.”

“Why?”

Lucas grinned.  “I ate them!”
