Sol meets him, talks in tongues of strange references and gruff semi-communications, and Ky feels strangely giddy with endorphins. Not just giddy, but relaxed and safe and sometimes soothed. He’s come a long ways from hating Sol, but now he craves Sol. This irrational dependency drives him to keep Sol, a wandering man, to kindle his fire. But once Ky’s gotten that, the days without are never enough.
He needs Sol with him, not as just a bedfellow; Ky craves that electric rush, that sight, that voice, and those eyes.
