He lived on the road for ages and all he was praying for every night, was to doze off and not to wake up again next morning. He couldn't bear it any longer to live without any memories of his past, without hope for the future.
But one day he woke up from a dreamless sleep and there was a voice in his head. Told him to go to Inverness. An old convent, a school for homeless children. A place full of hope and love.
And Smith started to believe that maybe it wasn't too late for a new beginning.
