Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji vanished from Lotus Pier before Jiang Cheng could see them and become upset.
They found a quiet inn, on the boundaries of Yunmeng, and sat down to eat before retiring.
But before the food arrived, Sandu Shengshou appeared.
“You just leave?” His voice was a whip crack. “Without even seeing me? You slink away leaving so much unsaid between us? That’s fine for you, Wei Wuxian! But I’m ending this.”
