Bard glanced up from his supposedly deep contemplation, to smile slightly at Thranduil as the Elf King glided up to his side.
“Apologies, Husband. I needed to make a quick escape outside before anyone tried to invite me into an arranged marriage with them. Or one of the Dwarves.”
“So, you decided to hide away on a broken wall.” Thranduil smirked, brushing his lips against his cheek. “How fickle the memories of humans are. You are mine since our own marriage many years ago by their own arrangements no less.”
“Indeed.”
