She wasn't quite ready to talk to a human quite yet. She couldn't quite remember how. For a long time she'd only spoken to robots who were actively trying to kill her, robots who were pretending not to be trying to kill her or inanimate objects. Besides, her brain still felt kind of fuzzy after waking up from the long sleep. For practice, she chatted away to the Companion Cube slung under one arm as she walked along, marvelling about how open the sky was, how clear the air and how the ground didn't fall away from under her, ever.
