Once upon a very strange day, a man bought a watermelon. As did many, many other people. And each went about that day as normal, never suspecting a thing.

Then, the time came around for each to cut into their watermelons for a treat.

And the watermelons sprung a leak. Several leaks.

Water flowed out of the melons. For nothing was there beneath their rinds. Soon, there was a veritable watermelon flood.

The purchasers were befuddled. The town went wild. They all went hungry, at least for watermelon; but at least no one could go thirsty, with all that water.
