"This is entirely my fault," the medium was quick to assure his clients. He ducked as a chair zipped past his head and slammed into the wall.
One of the clients peeked out from the hiding place he'd snared beneath the table. "I'm glad that you accept responsibility for this," he declared, his arms locked protectively around his wife, who looked near to fainting. "We never expected such a dreadful experience!"
It was all the medium could do not to join them. "This is what I get for calling up a spirit with a tendency toward creating mischief and mayhem!"
