Notes: Joyce is Buffy's mother.
Joyce knows she's gawking. She can't help it. Creatures she never thought existed are popping up everywhere, and her little girl is fighting them all. It's crazy!
"Mom?" Buffy asks, watching her mother pick up a stake she dropped. "Mom -- " Her daughter holds out her hand. " -- give me the stake."
"You have others. Let me help."
"You'll get yourself killed -- "
"You're my daughter." She still remembers teaching her baby how to tie her shoes and brush her teeth; yet, here she is, saving lives! "I'm not going anywhere." But she does run past Buffy, driving a stake into a Vampire.
