Notes: Set during Gideon the Ninth, not long after arriving at Canaan House.
"What is that?" Harrow's tone dripped acid.
The tiny, bizarrely-proportioned construct had practically bounced over to her, placed its grotesque forward appendages on her leg, and looked horribly happy about it all. No one was supposed to be happy about meeting Harrow. They were supposed to be respectfully terrified.
"A dog construct, naturally!" chirped Teacher. "She has kept me company during the King Undying's absence. She is delightful."
Gideon thought so, at least. She flopped down and extended an eager hand towards the dog. "Who's a good puppy?" she crooned.
"Your vow of silence now extends to animals," Harrow hissed.
