“Holmes, there was nothing in that bird!”
“No,” agreed Holmes.
“You lied to me when you said it was like the blue carbuncle case, when you said that blessed goose had swallowed the key!”
“Yes. In truth, it was more like the Bohemia case in the sense that I needed a strong distraction to draw attention away while I looked for the key’s hiding place.”
“Strong distraction? Is that what you call me chasing after that maniacal fowl?”
“I think the whole street would call it that! Well done, Watson!”
