"That's just perfect," Mike growled, feeling ready to throw in the towel. "All that work, for what? Y'all," he hollered, "there was a whole cake here ten minutes ago. Where'd it go? I just made it!"
Micky leaned over the upstairs railing. "And then the cake piranhas got to it. Well, one cake piranha," he confessed with a cheeky smile.
Mike sighed. "Doggone it, Mick! That was gonna be your birthday cake, and you up and ate it!"
"So, what's the problem," Micky asked. "You made it for me, and I ate it. By the way, thanks; it was delicious."
