“That’s because he’s so responsive,” Stanley said. “You only have to instruct him once and he gets on with his task. Unlike some I could mention.”
“You’re not talking about your cat, are you?” John asked, grinning at the two of them.
“Oh no,” Sherlock replied. “There it’s the reverse. Tilly only has to wave a paw and Stanley obeys the instruction to feed her immediately.”
“I rather thought that was the case.”
“Tilly and I have a perfect understanding.”
