Title: The Truth, but Maybe Not The Whole Truth
Fandom: Grantchester
Rating: G
Notes: Leonard is looking to move to a new parish. (Grantchester is set in 1950s)
The archdeacon expected him to tell the truth, but wanted him to deny his suspicions. He would be happy to hear Leonard say he was hoping to marry, but that would mean Leonard voicing a lie, and he no longer wished to deny who he was. So Leonard truthfully said he would do what he believed would be the best for his new parish. For, whilst the PCC might prefer a married vicar, they could hardly object to one who espoused celibacy. And no-one would enquire why Leonard was particularly gifted in dealing with those who felt marginalised by society.
