Original
Rating: G
Notes: I tried my hand at a drabble in poetry rather than in prose for this one. I hope you enjoy.
When rain comes down upon the field
and the mice go all a-scurry,
a fairy rests under blooming rue,
for she is in no hurry.
Blossoms shield her from the storm,
leaves casting their shadows wide,
and with gossamer wings tucked away,
she waits for it all to subside.
The sun eventually shines again,
grass will glisten with drops of dew—
patience is key in these affairs,
where you wait for bad times to pass through.
You, my dear, will see the light,
your misfortunes soon will end—
sit with her and rest a while,
perhaps you’ll make a friend.
