Miles knows he comes from nobility.
Lords and kings and emperors, that’s what Ventrue are. It may not be in his blood but it’s certainly in his vitae, in the pin on his lapel and in the strength of his words. He knows he comes from nobility. Prince is a title that should fit him like a crown.
But it doesn’t. Not under these circumstances, at least, not when he is more of a pawn than he is a noble. It’s not as though a ruler will be of any use when ash is all that remains of his domain.
