Dawn rocked Joyce in her cradle, humming her favorite lullaby.
“Is she asleep?” asked Buffy, walking in.
“For now,” Dawn yawned. “Thank you for letting me stay here, you’re my saviors. Between Xander snoring like a chainsaw and Joyce being extra fussy with the teething, I barely get any sleep.”
“You’re welcome anytime, Dawn. I’m sorry we only have a cot to offer.”
“I could sleep on concrete, trust me,” Dawn joked. “Besides, the nursery you made for Joyce here is so pretty! I love it.”
Buffy smiled. “Spike went a little overboard with his uncle duties.”
“I’m not complaining.”
