I was woken by a sudden blast of cold air and opened my eyes to see Holmes had thrown open our bedroom window. I would have complained, but he called me to join him. I stumbled over to the window, pulling the top blanket around my shoulders. As I looked out I saw what had attracted him. The snow had come in the night and now with the sun coming up it presented a beautiful, but slightly eerie, picture, so that it wasn't just the temperature which caused me to shiver.

Holmes shut the window, saying, "You felt it too!"
