At first, the rain had been gentle and almost pleasant. It wasn't cold, though neither Lucifer nor Azazel wanted to stay in the air as it began to get heavier. By the time they found a town, and an inn, for shelter, they were soaked from wings to feet.
The innkeeper didn't seem afraid of them, at least, and took their coins and gave them a key and spare towels.
It wasn't cold, though once Lucifer pulled off his wet clothing looked from Azazel to the bed and its quilts.
"Best keep warm," he said.
And Azazel quite enjoyably agreed.
