“Pick a card, any card,” Mikkel said to Jonas. “And in this envelope here that I’m about to give to Martha, I’ve written down which card you’ll pick.”
“This is lame,” Bartosz snorted as Jonas took a card. “I saw this trick at this show my parents took me to in Frankfurt. How he does it is, he pulls the card out before he shuffles, and then cuts the pack so the one you chose is on top.”
“Shut up, Bartosz. Read it anyway, Martha,” Jonas said, and to Mikkel “Even if I know how it’s done, it’s still magic.”
