Viola was sitting on the carpet in Turi’s living room, a plastic crown on her head while the twins tore into their presents.
Francesco walked over with an amused smile. “Good evening, Your Majesty. Should I bow?”
“Idiot. Turi’s girls wanted to play princesses,” Viola said, lifting the crown with a raised eyebrow.
“I figured,” he replied. “But do they know you’ve got a real crown… Miss Italy?”
“Former Miss Italy,” she corrected, standing up and placing the crown on his head. “And this one looks better on you, actually.”
He laughed. “Of course. I make a stunning bearded princess.”
