Title: 'Rehearsals'
Fandom: Original Poetry
Rating: G
Notes: Using Challenge #451: Work of art; Challenge #469: Rehearse; Challenge #468: Endless; and Challenge #463: End in -ay
A great work of fine art is my newest play
Yet, strangely, my whole cast is filled with dismay
“When will it yet premiere,” I oft hear them say
For a halt to the endless rehearsals they do pray
But I’ll have them all yet, come what will and what may
On the first night, the audience will sound the hooray
So here on these well-trod boards we will all stay
Regardless of bitterness at the constant delay
For “practice makes perfect”; to this there’s no “nay”
I promise that it shall premiere on one fine, far-off day
