Parting is such sweet sorrow.

 

Romeo gone, Juliet returned to her bedchamber.  She smiled as she thought of her love, and then reality hit her.  Her father would never countenance their marriage, and besides which what could Romeo offer her aside from his love.  Better to return to her original plan, marry Paris, who her father approved of, and then poison him and become a rich widow.  After which, if Romeo still wished to court her, she would consider it.  Although, he might have scruples about marrying someone whose husband had died suddenly.  In which case, better to know before she committed herself to him.
