Gil had won against anyone he'd played with before, and then Ryder came along and destroyed his winning streak like an army of kett. Or how he imagined her to destroy them; he preferred the ship's core to field work.

With no change in her expression but for a mischievous smirk, she collected his chips.

Damn she was good!

He side-eyed her. Or was she? Eventually, it dawned on him. Oh, Ryder, that cheat!

Next time he wanted to play poker, he would with someone without an AI implant!
