With twins safely delivered Shelagh Turner assumed she would not be needed.  Until Trixie Franklin rushed out to ask for the obstetrics flying squad to be called, saying there was a third baby.  Leaving the receptionist to make the phone call, Shelagh hurried into the delivery room.  She arrived to hear her husband say the baby was transverse, and, knowing she had more experience than he did, she asked if she should try to move the baby into a better position.  Her relief when she felt the head engage was enormous, even though she knew the baby wasn’t yet safe.
