Despite his precautions, Lucas realised he had still been followed.  Safely pocketing the information his contact had given him, he considered his options.  Whoever was tailing him would expect him to leave by the front door, and the route from the back door would still bring him back to the same road.  However, there was a side window, which led to a fence and behind that was some scrubby land.  Lucas slipped through the window, pulled himself over the fence and, using the cover of the scraggy bushes, made his way away.  He would need to rethink his next move.
