So many possibilities,
strange surprises,
range of demises,
oddities abound.
Staked, like Guilliver, to the ground.
Crushed by a giant wheel of cheese.
Drowned in a cauldron of soup.
Electrocuted on a bike
or in a truck.
Decapitation run amok:
beheading clean
by guillotine;
beheading fast
by wire stretched as moto passed;
beheading as a seaside bane
by ancient sword on ghostly train.
No one can escape—
so please don’t cross that tape—
murder
by the baker’s dozen
or
a Barnaby and a Sargent or Constable—
one with a fresh-scrubbed face—
on call, on track, on the case,
in
Midsomer.
