Teiris hadn't expected to find Gongos carefully planting new trees in the middle of the forest while singing to himself. He'd cleared the dead trees out of the way first, throwing entire trunks to one side effortlessly. He reminded her of an oversized puppy sometimes, good-natured but clumsy, with no idea of what he was wrecking.
A bird had even landed on his head, for Astea's sake!
He'd immediately set about rebuilding after the war - for all his bluster, he preferred peace. Fighting to the death was natural, he'd claimed, but not... like this.
It was endearing, she supposed.
