“You had no trouble taking Tilly to the vet, then?” John Watson asked Sherlock.

“No, it was very easy.”

“How did you manage to capture her so easily this time?”

“You know my methods,” Sherlock said airily.

Stanley Hopkins, who had been listening to the conversation, chuckled.  “He used the classic tin of salmon in the pet carrier trick.”

“Ah, yes,” John said.  “The one he said wasn’t necessary last time.”

“If Stanley had trained her better, I wouldn’t have all this trouble,” Sherlock objected.

“I think you’ll find Tilly is the one who’s been training you,” Stanley replied cheerfully.
