Eruca frowned. Rosche never asked questions about the Chronicle. He was a soldier, he claimed, not a thaumaturgist.

"Your brain could carry over phantom pain from a significant event, I suppose. What hurts?"

"Its my arm. From when it malfunctioned. I shouldn't even remember it but sometimes it aches. Twitches, even."

"To be honest, that thing's been all over the place while it was being made. Also you're partly controlling it by will alone. If you really think you're losing your grip on it, take a break, okay?"
