Giselle just gives Veronica a blank look.
"I fail to see the alternative," she replies.
"Still, you know where I get my spare parts for you? And how I practice my surgical technique."
"I would not defect if I had a problem with being at all responsible for the deaths of other Angels," she explained, "We do not experience sentimentality for each other. In fact, the other angels do not possess emotion. They probably do not feel pain."
"I especially do not understand why I feel somehow strongly emotionally connected to you."
