In the beginning there was darkness. Countless lives thrived inside the darkness. However, history rarely records this time, as the ones who make said history tended to be the sort that had come with the light that had invaded the dark, warm, comfortable places, ending the lives of many who could not withstand it. Others had been driven from the light, forced out from the caves into new environments, entire new worlds. Then there were others still who retreated further into the darkness, into crevices so deep that the hated light could not reach them. Until one day they returned.
