Mouselet watched, mouth open in admiration.  “How does he do it?” she said.

“Sheer force of personality, I presume,” Aemelia Vole replied.  “I can’t see how anyone else would get away with it.”

They watched as the Ferret finished his tap dancing interpretation of Once in Royal David’s City from on top of the pulpit.

With everyone sufficiently distracted Lestrade and Holmes had been able to creep up behind the organist and arrest him as he finished the final chord.

The Ferret bowed and disappeared to cries of ‘Encore’, while the vicar attempted to deliver the beginning of his sermon.
