Life is sadistic
When you're a statistic
Oh, what a dreadful state
It's very not fun
When you're on the run
From this to contemplate
The depression dance
Gives me not a chance
To renew a state of calm
While hostage to this
State of sheer non-bliss
For depression has no qualms
Against beating down
And trying to drown
A person just like me
It sucks to confess
That I'm really a mess
Riddled with anxiety
I do all I can
That's always the plan
I'm really very tough
However, it's clear
I always fear
That it won't be enough
