It wasn’t that he hated dice, it was just his luck always disappeared the moment he needed it. Constantly the men harassed him to play and he honestly suspected it was due to his notorious losing streak when playing. Coin would just slip from his hands into the pockets of his soldiers and they’d leave with a grin while he would remain sitting with a sour face.
So he really wasn’t enthused when Geralt dropped the board in front of him, his eyes pathetically gleeful, like a child.
“Have you ever played?”
He glared at the Witcher. He considered lying.
