“I presume he’s in love again,” Dr Watson said to Mouselet, looking suspiciously at the Ferret.

“Oh yes,” Mouselet agreed.  “She’s even given him a kiss.”

“Even so,” Watson continued, “he’s behaving rather more exuberantly than usual.”

“Well, you may notice your not-quite-finished glass of wine is now totally empty.”

“And thinking about it, Holmes hadn’t even touched his and yet I’m sure it’s not as full as it was.”

They both watched as the Ferret proceeded to twirl around furiously on the table.

“Whatever is he doing?” Watson asked.

“He thinks he’s some sort of immortal being!” Mouselet explained.
