He could see she was near crying, her own fury clear on her face. He was tired of dealing with this. “I will not go, even if you dismissed me.”
“Then I will personally see your legs broken.”
Her fists shook. “I’m the only one left, Roche! Out of all of them. Silas-”
He cut her off. Viciously. “Do not mention them, Ves!”
