“Tell me, Roche,” he sighed, his eyes moving over the table that was spattered with blood and tools. Some which he had never seen before in his life. “What is the worst thing you could do to a man?”
His Commander pondered it as he stood over the man bound to the chair. Flaxen hair, terrified expression; Made to look Temerian but all secrets were easily revealed with a good beating. And Roche was the best at that.
“Erase him.”
“Erase?” he pondered. “Explain.”
“Erase,” Roche repeated. “As in wipe away. Eradicate. Like they were never born.”
The man trembled.
