Lucas looked at the sky and sighed. Nothing was familiar on Hyperion. How could he know if he was going north, or even if he wanted to go north? He and Dagwood floated aimlessly. He scanned the horizon. There was nothing but the Kraytax base. Could they go there? He would need food soon. Dagwood produced a fishing pole, and put it in the water. Lucas watched him. Then, suddenly he felt a pull at his navel, and was in a ship. Many of his friends surrounded him, including Darwin. Then he remembered nothing, but was running through UEO headquarters.

pretty sure I'm the only active seaQuest writer left. It's a very sad, lonely fandom.

I know the feeling! Though Yuletide often pops up at least one fic for it? (Or are you the writer there too?)

No, I'm not that author. I'm Zhelana on AO3. I've never done yuletide, though I think it's one of my goals for this year - if I can convince myself to write in December, which is always tricky since I burn out on NaNo. :p

Oh I know. I have to *trick* myself into Yuletide some years, by using it as that project I switch to during NaNo when I get stuck on a scene.

That's a good idea; I may do that. This NaNo I actually did it legit and worked on one project from start to completion but not sure I'm going to be able to do that again. I don't usually have ideas worth 50k words on their own.
