Lying came naturally to him. After all, he learned long ago that anything was better than telling the truth when it involved certain details. Who his mother was, what she did, what his name was. All shit he once loathed to repeat.
Didn’t surprise him when he was asked how well he could lie when he was recruited into the army. He suspected he had been picked for something bigger - better. But he didn’t anticipate the Special Forces. That had been a shocking reward. But one thing was made clear to him the day he donned the lilies.
Perfect deceit.
