Surrender to the pure darkness
And you will find it sweet
To simply disappear so fully
In some shadowy back street

Give in gladly to the nighttime
There is little here to fear
For in the dark there is such peace
Which so few bright days hold dear

This is where it just might prove
That you very much belong
So give in to the darkening shadows
Tarry not in the light too long

There is nothing so sweet in daytime
That the night cannot also offer you
For shadows show such gentle kindness
And can prove such lovers true
